Jess Lowther (Hoffy) is a Melbourne based contemporary artist whose practice moves between large-scale public art and studio work, exploring how colour, pattern and organic form can reimagine everyday observations into something more playful and unexpected.
Her work draws from nature and the small details of daily life, translated through a visual language of bold abstraction. Working across murals, painting, drawing and collage, with an expanding interest in sculpture and installation, her work is recognised for its confident and considered use of colour and imperfect hand-drawn lines that retain a sense of spontaneity.
Jess has delivered projects across Australia and internationally for community, commercial and government clients. At the core of her practice is a curiosity about the beauty in ordinary moments. Her process often starts with something small and familiar, stretching it into something more imaginative to bring a sense of energy, play and wonder to everything she creates.
